Adopt-A-Species

MWF is proud to partner with Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks, Helena National Forest and the Mikal Kelner Foundation in sponsoring the Adopt-a-Species program. The program strives to help students understand ecosystems and appreciate the value of our natural world through comprehensive study of a Montana Wildlife species. Montana: My Big Backyard is the theme of the 10 th annual art contest. Liz Burke, Education Specialist for the Helena National Forest said “We received some really neat artwork this year; the students enjoyed drawing some of their favorite Montana critters.”

The Adopt-A-Species program is celebrating its 10th year and MWF is happy to join this unique, fun, educational program. The culmination of the yearlong program will be celebrated at Montana Wildlife Federations 71st annual FUNdraising banquet. The top three art pieces will be auctioned off to raise much needed funds that will go directly into programs to protect and enhance Montana’s outdoor treasures.
